Employment letters |
An employment letter is required from individuals who will receive their salary while studying or who will receive tuition for themselves or their child. |
Affidavit that student will live with sponsor |
The affidavit of support is available at the USCIS' website. The form is called an I-134. It would indicate that the student will receive room and board. Any statement regarding financial support must be accompanied by a bank statement |
Assistantship letters from Temple University |
If the student will receive a graduate assistantship, we must have a copy of the award letter indicating the amount of the funds. While many departments do send our office copies of award letters, not all do. If you receive an award letter, it’s in your best interest to forward our office a copy. |
Scholarship - Government |
If you are receiving a scholarship from your government, you must provide us with a copy of their award letter. Be sure that the letter is clear. We cannot make any assumptions regarding letters. Every item that will be supported (tuition, living expenses, etc.) must be detailed in the letter |
Sponsorship by a company |
If a company will be providing you with financial support, you must provide: |
| |
· A statement from the company indicating that they have liquid assets with which to pay your tuition;
· A statement from the President or CEO of the company indicating that funds have been set aside for your scholarship; and
· Specific items covered by the scholarship. |
