Q: What ways can I turn in requirements that are in “Need to Submit” Status?
A: The instructions listed underneath each requirement will help you determine the next step needed. Also, to the left of the requirement, you will see an icon to either upload a document, or visit a webpage.
Q: What are Common Reasons that Documents we receive are listed as Incomplete (Need to Resubmit)?
A: If the document is missing signatures, has illegible pages, is missing pages, or has not been fully completed, we would list it as incomplete. You will receive an email to the account you supplied when you applied for admission that explains why the documents were not accepted.
Q: What does it mean when a document is “Pending Review”
A: This status means that we have received your document and it is in a queue to be reviewed. The time it takes for documents to be reviewed normally varies based on the volume and the time of year.
Q: What does it mean when a requirement is “Satisfied?”
A: This means that the document is completed, or we have cancelled our request. No further is action is needed on your part when a document is in “Satisfied” Status.
Q: How long will it take for my document status to be updated from “Need to Submit/Resubmit” to “Pending Review?”
A: If you upload your document online, the status will update to “pending review”instantly after submission. Mail or Fax will be processed as it arrives, and depending on volume, the processing time can vary. At peak times, it can take 3-5 days after we receive a document for it to show as “pending review.”

Q: I have received the Upload Fail Message after attempting to upload a document, what do I do?
A: First, check that the file type you choose is one that the ISSS channel can accept. If you are still having issues with the upload and receive the upload fail message repeatedly, you can contact the Computer Services Help Desk at 1-215-204-8000FREE1-215-204-8000. NOTE: The CS help desk will only be able to assist with technical questions. They cannot assist with Certificate of Eligibility Status questions.
Q: What kind of File Types Can I Upload?
A: Picture Files (.jpg ,.jpeg, .tif, .tiff, .bmp, .jpeg, .png, .gif), Microsoft Word Files (.Doc, .Docx), Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx, .pps, .ppsx), Adobe files (.pdf),Open Document Format (.odf), and Microsoft document image files (.xps)
Q: What Happens to my document after it is uploaded?
A: Your document will instantly be sent to Temple University’s secure file storage area where only authorized staff will be able to review the information for completeness.
Q: How can I combine multiple PDF’s into one file?
A: If you have multiple .pdf files, and want to turn them into one combined file,first look to see whether you have Adobe Acrobat Standardor Adobe Acrobat Pro on your computer.
If you do not have the Adobe software available, you can usethe trial versionof any number ofdownloadable programs to combinepdfs. A variety of options can be found through agoogle search for “combining pdf files”.A commonly usedprogram is listed here.
Q: How can I combine multiple image files into one document?
A:Copy the separate image files into one powerpoint or word document. Then, save the powerpoint or word doc and upload it.
Q: Is the ISSS channel upload secure?
A: Yes. TUportal is a secure website, and your document is transported from TUPortal into Xtender, a secure file storage area where only authorized staff can access the information.
