PLEASE NOTE: International Student and Scholar Services cannot provide immigration advising to individuals who are not affiliated with Temple University. The ISSS office advises current Temple University students, prospective students and individuals who are sponsored by Temple University. Other individuals seeking immigration advice should consult with a qualified immigration attorney or the international student advisor at their schools.

Students celebrate the end of a successful year with an outdoor festival called Spring Fling on Main Campus.

Spring 2013 Orientation Week

Orientation week activities are open to all NEW incoming international students. You must sign up in order to attend the following activities. Certain activities will have a maximum number of students who can attend. Registration will be granted on a first come first served basis.

Shopping Run

Location: Liacouras Center
Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Students must be in front of the Liacouras Center at 9:50 AM. Temple bus will visit Walmart, Best Buy and IKEA for approx. 1 hour per store for students to purchase necessary items. Limit 30 students per trip.

Academic Sucess (closed)

Location: Paley Library
Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Please meet in front of Temple library at 12:55 PM. This session will cover how to navigate the Temple Library and review many of the academic resources available to Temple students. Limit 30 students per session. Session will last two hours.

Settling in 101

Location: TBD
This session will cover important information for students who are new to Temple and the U.S. such as how to open a bank account or cell phone as well as information on how to use Blackboard. Session will last two hours.
