The 6th Annual |
This page provides (links to) information for presenters of talks and posters at the Conference. The page will be updated with information as we approach the conference. Check with "Reload" that you have the newest version.
1. Presenters should register before September 19, to maintain the status of their contribution to be part of the final programme. Notify who will be the presenter of each individual contribution to presence2003@benogo.dk (possibly together with the one page abstract).
2. Authors (of talks and posters) and Exhibitors should provide a one page abstract in Word format of their presentation before September 19 using the MS-Word Template provided here for download . These abstracts will be included in the printed Conference Programme Book. Send the abstracts as one word file to presence2003@benogo.dk with clear indication in the email of the Abstract ID number (talks and posters) and the presenter.
Time oral presentation depends on the specific session. We suggest that authors use 2 thirds of their timeslot for their presentation and allow one third for questions and discussion..
There are 3 types of sessions:
90 minutes with 5 papers: 18 minutes per paper, 12 for presentation and 6 for discussion
60 minutes with 4 papers: 15 minutes per paper, 10 for presentation and 5 for discussion
60 minutes with 3 papers: 20 minutes per paper, 13 for presentation and 7 for discussion
Oral Presenters should meet with the Session Chair in the lecture hall B, 15 minutes before Session start, to "check presence", and plan necessary arrangements regarding A/V facilities.
Oral Presenters with special wishes for A/V facilities should see the technical support as early as possible.
3. Format of POSTERS: Poster boards are metal framed, and with a mounting area 120 cm wide, and 140 cm of height. They stand on feet so the top will be 160 cm above ground level. Tape and/or pins may be used for mounting. Presentation format is free, but we suggest the use of CAPITAL letters for title of at least 25 mm in height, and list of authors and affiliation in italics 15 mm in height.
Poster Presenters should try to be Present near their posters at least in the last 15 minutes of the Lunch breaks. This would allow other participants to make contact and arrange further discussions as need may be.
4. A/V facilities for speakers
5. Publication of 4 page Astracts:
Authors are invited to provide the programme co-chair (w.a.ijsselsteijn@tue.nl) with a URL that links to their (updated) 4 page abstract, describing their work in more detail. This link will be put up onto the www.presence-research.org website, under the Online Papers section. If authors do not have access to a website on which to upload their paper, they may provide an html or pdf file instead of a URL, which then will be uploaded to the presence-research site. Please do not forget to add author names and contact details if you are using your original submission.
