Conference Format
The goal of the PRESENCE 2003 conference is to bring together academic
researchers in the area of media and presence, content and technology developers,
and interested commercial parties so they can meet, share experiences, present
research, and exchange ideas.
Following the format of the earlier succesful PRESENCE workshops,
we envision an informal, highly interactive conference with a number of distinguished
invited speakers, paper presentations, special sessions on specific topics,
poster sessions, technology and project demonstrations and exhibitions,
and moderated discussions. The facilities allow for plenary as well as parallel
sessions on individual topics. Of course, ample time will be reserved for
informal interactions between all participants, and a social event will
be organised that will facilitate this.
How To Submit Work To Be Presented
Potential contributors are invited to submit an extended abstract
(no more than 4 pages when printed) until August 1. The abstracts should
be in HTML format and submitted online at the conference website.
The abstracts will be blind-reviewed through the http://ispr.info/
web site. At least two selected reviewers will read each submission and contributors
will be notified regarding acceptance on or before September 1.
Authors and Exhibitiors will be invited to provide a one page summary
of their presentation for inclusion in the printed Conference Program.
