Institute Partners with DRP for Surveys
The Institute on Disabilities in partnership with the Disability Rights Network of Pennsylvania (DRNPA) has created two surveys to gather information about people with disabilities in Pennsylvania.
The first will help identify topics for assistive technology training and informational materials. Assistive technology (AT) is any device that helps people communicate, hear, see, move, and otherwise function at home, at work, at school, or in the community. To take the survey on line, go to: www.surveymonkey.com/s/YZW5GKL. With questions or for accommodations to complete the survey, contact Amber Kavka-Warren, DRNPA, at 215-238-8070, extension 213, firstname.lastname@example.org, or 1-877-375-7139 (TTY). The survey is also available in an accessible MS Word version.
The second survey is designed to collect stories of how the services that you, or your family member with disabilities, help you be a part of the community and to avoid costly institutional services. The survey results will be used by the PA Disability Budget Coalition, comprised of more than 80 groups advocating for services and supports for Pennsylvanians with disabilities, to inform state policy makers about the fiscal feasibility of home and community-based services. www.surveymonkey.com/s/5F6RWTG. For help completing the online survey, or for another format, contact DRNPA at 717-236-8110, ext. 400; 877-375-7139 (TTY), ext. 400 and say you are calling for help completing the personal story form.
