Community Forum on October 20

PITCH: Partners in the Community's HealthPITCH—Partners in The Community's Health will hold its Community Forum on Tuesday, October 20, 2009, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Capital Area Intermediate Unit, Enola, PA.

PITCH, a joint project of the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University and United Cerebral Palsy of Central Pennsylvania, promotes healthy lifestyles for people with developmental disabilities.

The Community Forum will welcome people with developmental disabilities, their families, agency support staff and other interested persons share knowledge and opinions about health, nutrition and physical activity for people with developmental disabilities.

Some of the key issues to be discussed:

  • What health problems exist and for whom?
  • What is already available?
  • What can we do about these health problems?
  • How can we motivate people to be healthier?

The PITCH TeamThis open, honest discussion is certain to be enlightening and will help guide future research on this most important topic for everyone, especially people with disabilities.
