Risk

                 by Stephen M. Benscoter

You ask when to go
Enthusiasm like an engine that wants to start,
Only it can’t. Just say you love me.

Alone in that empty shell –
You’re a queen in a closet
Waiting for something to feel safe, right

Awake everyday to images of sunset
The sky a myriad of color
You, there, a simple shadow of insecurity
Hiding in the darkness
so no one sees you

Let’s go now! Let’s drop everything
And fly on the wings of spontaneity.
Let’s fly to the ends of the earth
And ask if it feels right – it will.

Deep inside, a feeling – desire.
Mysterious yearning in pretzled insides.
I’m your unknown catalysis.

Risquer

Quand y aller, me demandes-tu ?
