Welcome to the Intelligent Systems Application Center’s (ISAC) home page, and thank you for taking time to learn about us. The Center was founded in 1987 to provide a focal point within Temple University where artificial intelligence technology could be integrated within engineering applications. Since 1998, ISAC has been concentrating on creating software environments that are used to enhance educational delivery. The Center consists of faculty, graduate and undergraduate students from several colleges within the University. A principle activity is developing educational software that is interactive, intelligent and can be used for critical thinking, learning principles and theory and training in specific areas.
The Center is has developed interactive software that provides expert consultations on financial (OMTS), health (PIES), social (IMITS), and engineering problems (IMITS, UVL). We are presently developing an intelligent tutoring system (INVISSIBLE) in forensic biology for high school biology courses. |
