Professor Peter Sevareid teaches and writes in the comparative law area. In addition, Professor Sevareid helped found the LL.M. program for foreign lawyers at Temple more than twenty years ago. His publications include "An Introduction to Administrative Law in Kenya;" "The Work of Rural Primary Courts in Ghana and Kenya;" "The Future of Customary Law;" "Sex and Witchcraft: An Interdisciplinary, Jointly Taught Course in Comparative Dispute Settlement;" and "The Case of the Unreturned Goat (Liberia)." He has conducted research in Kenya, Ghana, Liberia, South Africa, Thailand and China. Professor Sevareid taught in Temple's Tokyo program in 1996 and in Temple's Beijing program in 1999.



Peter J. Spiro joined the faculty of Temple University, Beasley School of Law in the fall of 2006 as holder of The Honorable Charles P. Weiner Professorship in international law. Before coming to Temple, Prof. Spiro was the Dean and Virginia Rusk Professor of law at Georgia Law School. In August 2005, he was named associate dean for faculty development. Prior to Georgia Law, Spiro spent 10 years at Hofstra University School of Law serving as a tenured professor and associate dean for faculty development. He specializes in international law, the constitutional aspects of U.S. foreign relations, and immigration and nationality law.
Bill Woodward has written broadly on commercial, bankruptcy, intellectual property, conflict of laws, and legal education topics. He has served as Director of Temple's Law Program in Athens, Greece and has taught classes in International Business Transactions in both Rome and Athens and International Dispute Resolution in Athens. Professor Woodward has held a number of leadership positions in professional associations, including service as Chair of the Section on Commercial and Related Consumer Law of the American Association of Law Schools, Chair of the Business Law Education Committee and Co-Chair of the Task Force on Consumer Involvement of the American Bar Association's Business Law Section, and President of the Temple University Faculty Senate and Chair of the University's Personnel Committee. He is an elected member of the American Law Institute where he serves on Members' Consultative Groups for Uniform Commercial Code Articles 1, 2 and 9 and the Restatement of Restitution. He was the American Bar Association Section of Business Law Adviser to the Committee to redraft Article 1 of the Uniform Commercial Code.

 

 

Professor Mo Zhang directs Temple's program in Beijing, China. Professor Zhang specializes in contract law, conflict of laws and international business transactions. He has published a number of articles in China and the United States on a variety of topics, including contract, international civil litigation, foreign investment, and governance of Internet domain names. Professor Zhang earned his LL.B. and LL.M. from China University of Political Science and Law (FADA) and his LL.M. from the University of Michigan. Prior to joining the Temple faculty, he practiced law in Washington DC. Professor Zhang also served as a faculty member at FADA and as a Fulbright scholar.
