Noah Shusterman received his Ph.D. in European History from the University of California at Berkeley. His first book, Religion and the Politics of Time: Holidays in France from Louis XVI through Napoleon, was published in 2010 by Catholic University of America Press. His second book, The French Revolution: Faith, Desire and Politics, a narrative history aimed at undergraduates and general readers, will be published in 2013 by Routledge Press. He has also published in French History and The Chronicle of Higher Education, and is the Chief Web Editor for the website H-France. He has been teaching at Temple since 2002, and in the Intellectual Heritage Program since 2005. He also teaches in the History and Women's Studies departments.
