HOW DO I APPLY?

Admission to the Intensive English Language Program is open to all students who have attained a high school education or its equivalent and who agree to devote a majority of their time to their English language studies while enrolled in the Intensive English Language Program. To apply, a student should complete our application forms and documentation and return them to the Intensive English Language Program. To make it easier to apply, the Intensive English Language Program provides you with various ways to submit an application: by regular mail, by FAX, or on this web site.

Applications sent or submitted to the Intensive English Language Program can be processed only after receipt of all forms and documentation, together with the non-refundable $50.00 application fee. No cash will be accepted as payment. You may pay for the application fee by check or international money order. Please do not send or bring cash to the Intensive English Language Program Office. Checks or money orders should be made payable to Temple University and should be drawn upon a bank or other financial institution in the United States.

If you also need a Form I-20 so that you can apply for a Non-immigrant F-1 Student visa to enter the United States, the section on Form I-20 Requirements provides all the necessary information.

To be sure that you have enough time to apply for and get your Non-immigrant F-1 Student visa, you should send or submit all complete and signed application forms, the financial documentation and the application fee at least TWO MONTHS before the starting date of the first semester of enrollment. Once the IELP office has received the required documentation, it will take from 7 to 10 working days to mail the acceptance letter and the Form I-20.

If you are concerned about the amount of time it may take to receive your documents via airmail, we can Express Mail your documents to you. You can enclose an Express Mail fee with your application materials and application fee.
