TRANSFORMATIONAL INTERGROUP DIALOGUE FACILITATOR TRAINING INSTITUTEThe Transformational Intergroup Dialogue Facilitator Training Institute prepares university employees, as well as colleagues from other universities, and outside corporations and organizations, to facilitate dialogues within their departments, organizations, and institutions. Transformational Intergroup Dialogues are a means of engaging faculty, administrators, staff and students in better understanding race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ability, and class. The Transformational Intergroup Dialogue Facilitator Training Institute is sponsoring a series of dialogues for advanced facilitators on an invitation only basis during the spring academic semester. The goals of the workshops are to: 1) improve facilitation skills, 2) deepen understanding of major social justice issues, 3) dialogue about the dialogic process, 4) improve the relationships of facilitators, 5) practice facilitating dialogues, 6) help participants to explore their major obstacles to facilitating diverse groups and 7) build a community of transformational intergroup dialogue facilitators. A tentative listing of workshops is listed here:
Participation in these workshops is reserved for a select group of individuals who are advanced in intergroup dialogue facilitation as practitioners or theoreticians and have participated in IDEAL programs.
