Rhonda L. Brown

Rhonda has been a direct report to 10 college presidents, serving in various capacities ranging from Special Assistant to the President, Interim Dean of Students, Affirmative Action Officer, Counsel, Director of Institutional Equity and Associate Vice President for Multicultural Affairs.  "It’s odd to think of my career in terms of the institutions and presidents I’ve served.  Each one was different and each one taught me a lesson that prepared me to do the job at hand."

Rhonda started her academic career at her alma mater, Albright College.  Albright is a small college, deeply rooted in liberal education.  "My experience at Albright was the perfect combination of education, preparation and nurturing.  My professors knew me and helped guide me.  I consider myself especially fortunate that many of my college mentors were also my first administrative mentors."  After Albright, Rhonda accepted the position of Affirmative Action Officer at the College of the Holy Cross.  "Holy Cross taught me the value of Jesuit education and social justice.  It left me with the idea that higher education could and should enforce the credo, 'to whom much is given, much is required.'"  Finally, before coming to Temple, Rhonda...more [PDF]

 

Tiffenia "Tiff" Archie
Faculty Recruitment and Retention

Tiffenia “Tiff” Archie, Ph.D., has worked in higher education for over 15 years, gaining experience in a number of departments, including financial aid, disability support, academic support, and minority retention.  Most recently, Tiff worked in academic affairs where she served as an assistant dean.  While Dean, Tiff also acted as an affirmative action representative where she collaborated closely with faculty search committees to increase the pool and hiring rate of women and minority candidates; work she continues as Director of Faculty Recruitment and Retention in the OMCA. 

Throughout her career, Tiff has been committed to advancing the ideal of multiculturalism through mentoring, training, program development, service, and teaching.  She counts these activities among her hobbies.  Tiff also enjoys sewing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. 

Tiff has undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Sociology and earned her doctorate in Sociology from Temple University.  She resides in Brewerytown.

 

Tchet Dereic DormanTchet Dereic Dorman

Tchet Dereic Dorman has a wide variety of experiences in higher education and community development, as a university professor, administrator, and community activist.

Tchet has had numerous experiences with middle school, high school and undergraduate students as a professor/instructor/teacher, administrator, counselor, and advisor. He has been the director or assistant director of several educational programs designed to assist students in matriculating to and/or graduating from high school, college and graduate school while at Temple University, LeMoyne-Owen College (Memphis, Tennessee), Swarthmore (PA) College, the University of Pennsylvania, Albright College, the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology, Vassar College, LaGuardia Community College, Oberlin College and Lebanon Valley College.

Tchet achieved doctoral candidacy status in African American Studies at Temple University, where he also received his Master’s in African American Studies. He received his bachelor’s degree in Black Studies and Government from Oberlin College in Ohio. [more PDF]

 

Sonia MorozSonia Moroz

Sonia A. Moroz joined Temple University’s Office of Affirmative Action in 1973 upon her completion of the Jobs ’70 Training Program of Temple University. Sonia has been a loyal employee for more than 30 years. She provides administrative support for the Associate Vice President in the functioning of daily operations. Sonia maintains work flow as well as provides departmental budget oversight. She serves as liaison to various University departments. Sonia establishes and supervises maintenance of all files, records, logs and other data. She prepares and assists in the preparation of various reports and documents required by government and University officials, including statistical data. She assists in research, collection and preparation of data. Sonia maintains Affirmative Action resource materials.

Sonia A. Moroz was nominated by her supervisors to the Excell Program of Temple University to acknowledge her service, caring and commitment to the University.

Sonia received certificates of completion from the McCall School (English for Foreign Studies Program), Lincoln College Prep School, Job ’70 Training Program and Intensive English Language Program of Temple University, PC Concepts, Data Processing Training and the School of Paralegal Studies.

 

Tomas SanchezTomas Sanchez

Tomas Sanchez, JD was born and raised in the shadow of Temple University, first living on 4th & Diamond Sts. then moving to the North Broad Street neighborhood of Logan.  Tomas graduated from Central High School of Philadelphia before attending Harvard University where he studied Government.  He is also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Tomas has a wide range of experience in various sectors including the corporate, non-profit, and public arenas.  Among other positions, he is a former Chief of Staff to a member of the City Council of Philadelphia, a founding member and Executive Director of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, and a Government Affairs Representative for PECO Energy.  He was raised in a business family and has owned/operated business enterprises in the past.

Tomas is a resident of Norris Square, is married to Maria Quinones Sanchez and is the proud parent of two children, Edgar and Tomasito.
