IDEAL MISSION STATEMENT

IDEAL is the embodiment of Temple University's institutional consciousness, endeavoring to sustain and nurture a strong ethos of respect for numerical, intellectual, and interactional diversity.

Sustained by the intellectual resources and breadth of opportunity afforded by Temple University, the goal of IDEAL is to ensure that Temple University’s standing as the premier model for diversity at the university level is enhanced by the programs, relationships, and leadership championed by IDEAL.

Through programming, professional development, leadership training, advocacy, and dialogue with the University and external partners and constituencies, IDEAL actively seeks to work with members of the University community and wider community to promote understanding of the value and benefits of diversity, equity, and social justice.


IDEAL will host the 7th Statewide PALOMA Conference at Temple University July 16-18, 2014.

IDEAL hosted the 16th Annual Conference of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Association for Multicultural Education at Temple University April 11-12, 2014.
