William Maul Measey (1875-1967) was an attorney, investor, traveler,
gardener, collector and philanthropist. In May 1958, Mr. Measey
established the Benjamin and Mary Siddons Measey Foundation as a
memorial to his parents. Today, the Foundation awards grants to local
medical schools primarily for scholarships, fellowships, MD/PhD programs

and endowed professorships, and also for other worthwhile purposes
directly relating to medical education. The support by the Foundation
for the William Maul Measey Institute for Clinical Simulation and Patient Safety is an example of the latter type of grant. The Foundation believes simulation training will play a role of increasing importance in education of physicians.

The William Maul Measey Institute for Clinical Simulation and Patient Safety (ICS) receives administrative and financial support from the Temple University School of Medicine through the Office of the Dean. The Temple University College of Health Professions contributes to the success of the ICS through sharing of equipment and administrative support personnel. Additional funding and support comes from the Temple University Health System, Office of Risk Management.

In order to further aid in the education of skilled and compassionate healthcare professionals, the ICS welcomes the support of individuals as well as companies.

The following organizations have made contributions to developing and equipping the ICS:
