Developed for doctors by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and its Committee on Trauma (COT), the ATLS® Program focuses on early care for trauma patients who present a wide range of complex problems.
The William Maul Measey Institute for Clinical Simulation and Patient Safety (ICS) hosts this program twice a year, in June and November. This program is conducted by the Department of Surgery and is a requirement for Temple University Hospital surgical residents; however, it is also open to non-Temple employees for certification or recertification.
