The 2008-2009 Center for the Humanities Faculty Fellowships
The Temple Center for the Humanities is again pleased to sponsor Faculty Fellowships for the year 2008-2009. Winners of the fellowships will be named Faculty Fellows of the Center for the year. Fellows will receive a one-course teaching reduction to pursue research on a particular project. Fellows will also have access to space and support in the Center offices. They will be expected to make a public presentation about their research and to contribute to the activities of the Center during their year as Faculty Fellow by participating regularly in CHAT events and planning at least one program open to the CHAT community.

To apply for a Center for the Humanities Faculty Fellowship, please send the following materials:

  • A 4-10 page statement describing the research project, its interdisciplinary perspective, the intended venue for publication of the results of the research, and a timeline for completion of the project.
  • A letter from your department chair assessing your proposal and indicating that the course release will not adversely affect the department's undergraduate offerings.
  • A one paragraph summary of potential CHAT activity for 2008-09.
  • A recent C.V.

Materials should be sent by e-mail attachment to:
Peter Logan, Acting Director, at peter.logan@temple.edu.

Faculty Fellowships are open to all ranks of Temple Presidential Faculty.
The deadline for receipt of application materials is November 5, 2007.
