Linda Shuo Zhao is a Ph.D. student in the department of Criminal Justice, Temple University. She was from mainland China (P.R.C.). She earned her M.A. in Criminal Justice from Temple. She is now working on her dissertation research, which is concerned with the investigation of Chinese underground banks located in Chinatown, NYC and attempts to explore the relationship between this informal financial system and Chinese illegal migration and human smuggling. Her research interest includes transnational crime, crime in transnational societies, and crime in urban areas.
