Rujuta Chincholkar, who is affiliated jointly with the African American Studies and Women’s Studies, is currently working on her dissertation tentatively titled “Lesbianism in Postcolonial India.” Her work is an effort to analyze the silence and invisibility surrounding gender and sexuality in India through the complicated intersection of postcolonial theory and queer theory. She is also Assistant to the Editor of the Faculty Herald newspaper.
