As an international student, you have the following options for insurance:

- Complete a Certification of Outside Health Insurance form.
Enrollment for student health insurance is open during the months of August through October for twelve (12) months of coverage (September through August) and from February through March for six (6) months of coverage (March through August).
If you elect any type of coverage during the open enrollment period, a bill will be sent to the address you provided during the enrollment process. You will be responsible for paying the monthly premiums directly to Independence Blue Cross. For the Fall semester, monthly premium payments are due on the first of the month beginning September 2014 and ending on August 2015 for effective dates of coverage September 1, 2014 through August 31, 2015.
You may also elect not to enroll in either plan and provide certification of outside health insurance.
If you elect not to enroll in either of the school-sponsored plans, you MUST complete a Certification of Outside Health Insurance Coverage form. The Certification form MUST be completed online via the Independence Blue Cross website during open enrollment; otherwise you will be automatically enrolled as single in the Basic Personal Choice Plan and will be responsible for paying the single monthly premium of $239.06 directly to Independence Blue Cross.
If you lose your outside medical coverage for any reason you MUST contact the Benefits office immediately at 215-926-2270 to obtain coverage.
