Preparation For Retirement

 

1) If you have decided to retire, please notify the Benefits Department at least 4 months

    prior to your retirement date to schedule a retirement interview.  You may contact one of

   the following to schedule an appointment:

2) If you have an account with TIAA-CREF and/or Fidelity, you will need to contact them

    directly.

3) Ensure that your department is given proper notice.

4) Contact your local Social Security Office for information. If you or your spouse is 65 or

    older, you also need to speak to Social Security about enrolling in Medicare Parts A and

    B.

At the time of your retirement interview, the benefits staff will provide more information specific to your situation.
