Temple University offers medical and prescription drug coverage to Medicare-eligible retirees, as outlined on our Retiree Home page. There are no additional premiums paid to Temple University for your medical or prescription drug coverage. If you are Medicare-eligible, you MUST enroll in Medicare Part A and Part B.

The Prescription Drug plan offered by Temple University includes Medicare Part D coverage and supplementary coverage for the “gaps” that Medicare does not cover. You do not have to enroll in Medicare Part D yourself; the entire process is handled for eligible retirees by Temple University.
You pay 10% of the cost of generic drugs, 20% of the cost of preferred brand name drugs and 30% of the cost of non-preferred brand name drugs.
