Fall 2007–spring 2008 seminars

More than 190 seminars in a variety of topics will be available from the Human Resources Training & Organizational Development division to employees for professional development and personal growth this upcoming academic year.

With a spotlight on the new universitywide competency, Teamwork and Collaboration, six programs on teambuilding will be available, including four new seminars.

Programs also can be tailored and delivered to individual departments, and the HR staff will travel to your campus or work location.

Visit the HR OD&T online registration site at www.temple.edu/hr/training to learn more.

New assessment and coaching services

OD&T now has the capability to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the FIRO-B and the Strong Career Assessment instrument.

Automated student hiring is live

Students now can search and apply for positions online at “Student’s Links” on the Temple University portal. Go to studentjobs@temple to browse open positions at the university or create a username and password to create a profile and apply.

This enhanced capability is part of the new automated student hiring process that Human Resources is implementing. It also includes a requisition/applicant tracking database system that is almost paperless and eliminates the delays of the prior manual system.

Departments now can post their student positions online, track applicants and electronically upload new student hires into the university’s payroll system. Students should be processed and on the timekeeping systems within 24 hours. For more information, contact Abe Hedgcock at 215-204-3332 or hedgcock@temple.edu, or Stephanie Tschanz at 215-204-6357 or steph712@temple.edu.
