Coming soon: Free flu vaccinations
The university will be providing free flu shots to all Temple University employees. Dates for Main Campus, the Health Sciences Center and the Ambler Campus will be announced soon.
Temple Hospital also will be providing free flu shots for Health System employees only. University employees will be charged $25 for flu shots provided by the hospital.
Take Your Daughters and Sons To Work Day coming to Temple
Temple will open its doors to the school-age sons and daughters of faculty and staff in the spring. This universitywide one-day event is intended to expand opportunities for children by working with employers to encourage people to share a day of their work lives with children.
Rather than simply tagging alongside of you, the boys and girls will be engaged in a hosted event that includes organized, age-appropriate activities designed to expose them to what happens during a workday.
The university is looking for employee volunteers to join a committee which will plan the event — scheduling, activities for the children to experience and participate in your workplace, which ages to target, etc. To volunteer, e-mail Eric Brunner at eric.brunner@temple.edu.

Introducing the new Employee Service Awards and Recognition program
From academics to facilities maintenance and athletics to research to student services, the members of the Temple community are central to every success, every improvement, and every triumph at the university.
The new Employee Service Awards and Recognition program is a way to thank staff and faculty for their commitment and dedication. Beginning soon and on an ongoing basis, each school and department will present service awards to employees to recognize five, 10 and 15 years of service with the university.
