In preparation for Temple’s United Way campaign in February, we would like to hear your story and share it in an upcoming issue of Temple Times. Paycheck distribution changes coming in January
Consistent with universitywide disaster-preparedness initiatives, the Human Resources Payroll Management office is committed to minimizing the impact of an emergency or disaster on university employees. As a result, direct deposit and paycheck distribution procedures will change with the first pay period in January 2008.
For those employees being paid by direct deposit, the advices will no longer be printed and sent to university departments for distribution. For your convenience, all university faculty, administration, staff and students currently have the ability to view the pay stub online through Employee Self-Service at http://ess.temple.edu; therefore, the paper direct deposit advice will be replaced by an e-mail notification sent to you prior to payday with a link to the Employee Self-Service web site, where you can view and/or print your pay statement.
For those employees receiving a paycheck, we are currently exploring alternate electronic solutions to replace paper checks entirely.
Please keep in mind, direct deposit is the preferred method of payment for all university faculty, staff and students, and we strongly encourage all faculty, staff and students who have not enrolled in direct deposit to do so as soon as possible through Employee Self-Service (http://ess.temple.edu). It is one of the most safe, convenient and reliable methods of payment.
