JUNE 2009

 

  • Completed assessments with colleges, schools and departments
  • Group 2 live in Kronos
  • Kick-off meetings for Groups 3 and 4
  • Completed Kronos training for timekeepers and approvers in Groups 3 and 4
  • Began parallel testing for Groups 3 and 4 (~1800 employees)
  • Continued development of interfaces between HRS and Kronos

 

May 2009

  • Pilot group live on Kronos.
  • Completed Kronos training for timekeepers and approvers for Group 2.
  • Complete assessments for colleges, schools and departments.
  • Start Group 2 on Kronos (~700 Employees).
  • Kick-off meeting for Group 3 (~1300 employees).
  • Continued development of interfaces between HRS and Kronos.

 

April 2009

  • Parallel test and reconciliation completed for Pilot group.
  • Kronos assessments completed for 89% of schools, colleges and departments.
  • Kick-off meeting for Group 2.
  • Continued development of interfaces between HRS and Kronos.

 

March 2009

  • Train the trainer sessions conducted for timekeepers in pilot group departments.

     

  • Started test phase for Pilot group.

 

  • Continued assessments with colleges, schools and departments.

 

  • Completed schedule of Kronos implementation phases & dates for colleges, schools and departments.

 

  • Continued development of interfaces between HRS and Kronos.

 

February 2009

  • Helpdesk for Kronos established for pilot group.
  • Continued assessments with colleges, schools and departments.
  • Train the Trainer and Pay Rule Training attended by project team members.
  • Developed Policies and Procedures Manual for system usage.
  • Developed Kronos User Manual for training.
  • Continued development of interfaces between HRS and Kronos.

 

January 2009

  • Production environment converted to Oracle and upgraded to the latest version of Kronos Workforce Central (V6.0) for current users.
  • Identified departments for participation in pilot group.
  • Conducted assessments with colleges, schools and departments.
  • Kronos Project Website launched.

 

December 2008

  • Test environment was converted to Oracle and upgraded to the latest version of Kronos Workforce Central (V6.0).
  • Leave and Attendance modules were installed in the test environment.
  • Education for primary core team members was provided.
  • Distribution of departmental questionnaires.
  • Formation of the functional team comprised of representation from the schools, colleges and administrative units

 

November 2008

             

  • Conducted assessments with Labor/Employee Relations in order to document pay policies for various employee classifications.  
  • Finalized plans to upgrade the existing Kronos application to the most recent version.
  • Finalized plans to upgrade the database from SQL to Oracle V9.
  • Hardware infrastructure was installed and configured by Computer Services in conjunction with Kronos.
  • Development of interfaces between HRS and Kronos began.

 

October 2008

  • Overall Project plan was created.
  • Initial planning to upgrade the existing Kronos application to the most recent version (V6.0) commenced.
  • Initial planning to upgrade the database from SQL to Oracle V9 also commenced.
  • Analysis of university census / population information.

 

September 2008

  • Temple University finalized the statement of work and contract with Kronos.
  • Project manager was hired for the Kronos Workforce Time and Attendance Implementation – (Jim Willoughby).
  • Preliminary Core Team and Steering Committee were formed.
