I-9 Completion (Equifax)

Temple University uses Equifax to obtain required documentation to verify employee eligibility to work in the United States as defined by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), also known as Form I-9. New or returning employees will receive an email from Equifax (at the email address provided during the application process) with detailed instructions for completing this form. This information must be completed prior to the first day of employment.

I-9 Completion Steps

Prior to an employee’s start date, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) requires employees to complete the following steps in full:

1.
New or returning employees will receive two emails from Equifax with a link and temporary password for the Equifax online Form I-9. The emails’ sender is donotreply@equifax.com
2.
Using the Login information provided in the email, employees must complete the packet in its entirety.
3.
Once employees complete their packet Equifax, they are required to present certifying documentation in person with HR or one of our I-9 processing locations within three (3) days of their start date. These documents certify the employee’s eligibility to work in the United States. Employees can find a list of acceptable documents here: I-9 Acceptable Documents
4.
Employees must present documents at any of these locations, where a representative will finalize the I-9 certification process: I-9 Processing Locations
5.
Upon completion of the I-9 process a confirmation email is sent to the employee.
