An array of voluntary benefits are available through a variety of vendors for employees and faculty members for their personal use.


Auto and Homeowners Insurance Discounts

Through an arrangement with the Temple University Alumni Association, Liberty Mutual offers discounts for personal auto and homeowners insurance (discounts and credits are available where state laws and regulations allow and may vary by state). Automobile Rental Discounts

When traveling for business or personal use, Temple employees can now take advantage of great car rental discounts offered through a customized rental program with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental.  For more information on this program, please visit the University’s automobile rental website at www.temple.edu/controller/travel/CarRental.html or call 1-800-847-3722.


Zimride is a private website that helps Temple's students, staff, and faculty share a carpool in the Greater Philadelphia area. By sharing rides you not only save yourself cash but you can help save the environment by cutting the carbon emissions from the ride in half or in thirds depending on how many people ride with you. Cellular Service Discounts

University employees can enjoy a 18% discount from Verizon Wireless on monthly access fees and a 25% discount on cellular accessories. FiOS Discount

As part of the University's corporate agreement with Verizon, current Temple University faculty and staff can take advantage of discounts on a FiOS Triple Play Bundle. For more information, click here.

Health Club Discount

The University has established a corporate wellness program with the Sporting Club at the Bellevue.  Through this program, full-time employees may join the Sporting Club at the Bellevue and pay reduced membership dues. Identity Theft Protection

The LegalShield protection was developed to help you protect your identity AND your credit. However, the biggest advantage is full restoration of your good name and credit by licensed fraud investigators. The plan covers both employee and spouse/domestic partner for $12.95/month paid by credit card or electronically from your checking account. Pet Insurance

Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI) provides veterinary pet insurance policies to cover medical problems and conditions related to accidents and illness for dogs, cats, birds and other exotic pets.  Coverage helps pay for services like surgeries, lab fees, treatments and prescriptions.
