Temple University offers a choice of two different medical plans, (PPO and HMO) both of which are offered through Independence Blue Cross.
Personal Choice is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), which allows you the freedom of choice to choose doctors and hospitals around the world through the BlueCard Worldwide Program. Employees may choose in-network or out-of-network providers.
Keystone Health Plan East is a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), which requires employees to choose a primary care physician. All medical services must be performed or authorized by a primary care physician with a written referral.
Coverage and co-payments vary by job classification and by bargaining unit.
