Health Plans

 

Eligibility - Health insurance is available to all full-time employees and faculty members. Plan changes are allowed during the annual open enrollment or as a result of an approved qualifying status change.

Eligible employees may elect single coverage or may elect to cover their spouse and legally dependent children (biological, adopted, or step). The University subsidizes, in part, the cost of the group medical coverage for single coverage and/or the coverage for a spouse or dependent child, with employees and faculty members contributing a percentage of the premium. Legally dependent biological, adopted, and stepchildren are covered through age 19, or to age 23 if a full-time student.
