Health Plans
Eligibility - Health insurance is available to all full-time employees and faculty members. Plan changes are allowed during the annual open enrollment or as a result of an approved qualifying status change.
Eligible employees may elect single coverage or may elect to cover their spouse and legally dependent children (biological, adopted, or step). The University subsidizes, in part, the cost of the group medical coverage for single coverage and/or the coverage for a spouse or dependent child, with employees and faculty members contributing a percentage of the premium.
Legally dependent biological, adopted, and stepchildren may be covered through age 26 for medical and prescription coverage. Dependent children may be covered for Dental and Vision coverage through the end of year in which they reach age 23.
