Program Summary

The Total Wellness rewards program provides you with tools, resources and challenging activities to help improve and maintain your health and well-being. The program provides individual preventative care recommendations, on-line health goals and programs, access to a Blue Cross Health and Wellness coach, personal and team challenges, on-line wellness seminars, nutrition counseling, educational resources and much more. You earn credits and rewards based on the activities you participate in and complete. 

Employees earn credits and receive rewards by participating in activities and completing specific milestones throughout the plan year.

  • Plan Year: July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019.

  • EligibilityEmployees and Faculty members enrolled in one of the University’s health insurance plans, Personal Choice, Keystone Health Plan East or Personal Choice High Deductible.

  • Rewards: Earn up to (4) $50 reward cards per plan year. Earn one of the $50 rewards by completing the Well-being Profile, a biometric screening and starting an Achieve Well-being program on the Blue cross member portal.

  • Reward cards are redeemable once earned directly from your Blue Cross member portal.
  • $25 Monthly Premium discounts on Employee Health Plan Contributions: Premium discounts are received during the following plan year and are based on job classification and collective bargaining agreements.  Maximum premium discount $300 per plan year.

  • Total Reward Value: Up to $500 based on eligibility and participation level.

To be eligible for a premium discount beginning July 1, 2019, you must have completed the three activities below and earned a minimum of 200 credits during the plan year.  (July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019)

On-site biometric screening or received this information from your physician’s office.
Completed your Well-being Profile on the Blue Cross member portal.
Started a new Achieve Well-being program on the Blue Cross member portal.

To begin your journey:

  • Register on the Blue Cross portal: Go to, click the Log in or Register button on the right-hand side, indicate that you are a member, and complete the electronic registration form. If you have any issues registering or already have an account with Independence Blue Cross and have forgotten your username, please call the Blue Cross website support team at 215-567-4002. You will need your insurance identification number to register.
