As part of the transition to Banner Human Resources, the Employee Self-Service (ESS) web site has been replaced by Self Service Banner. Just as the ESS web site enabled you to view/update your personal, work and leave-related information, Self Service Banner offers the same familiar functionality, as well as additional options and the capacity for future expansion.
Accessing Self-Service Banner
Self-Service Banner is available only through TUportal. To access Self-Service Banner, go to http://tuportal.temple.edu, log in, and click on the Staff Tools tab.
Once you click on Staff Tools, look for the following four convenient Self-Service Banner channels: the Leave Time Information channel in the center and the Pay and Tax, Personal and Benefits Information channels on the right. Please click here for further explanation and screen shots.
What’s New in Self-Service Banner?
While you will find the same functionality as available in ESS, some options are grouped a little differently and some have their own sections in Self-Service Banner. There are also new options that were not available in ESS. In particular, you can now view your Earnings and Deductions History and access the details of your Retirement Plan, including links to vendor information. Additional links to related topics and historical information are also available on most option screens.
