Chemistry / Pre-Pharmacy

Willow Grove, PA

“Hello, hello! My name is Nick, I am originally from Willow Grove, PA and am a junior Honor student here at Temple - majoring in Chemistry and hoping to attend pharmacy school.

My search for a school to spend several years of my life at first started slow. But when I heard about the great things Temple has to offer, including the Honors program and a Pharmacy school right up the street, I finally had a place reserved in my heart.

Flash forward to a time only several months ago when I came to freshman orientation. Those two days were only a glimpse, a mere taste of being a Temple student. And what a shock it was, being with a bunch of people that I didn’t know and faced with the daunting task of choosing classes. That is where the Honors program came in and saved the day, if you can imagine the Honors program being a big superhero with a Cherry and White cape. Honors provided me with personalized academic advising and helped me organize all the classes I needed to take.

After a couple of weeks into the Fall semester, I begin to see even more all the cool aspects of Temple’s Honors program. On thing that scared me about this new environment was getting to know people and finding my college niche. Thankfully being part of a small, select, group of students chosen to be in the Honors Program was great compared to the overall freshman population of around 4,000. Temple University and the Honors Program offers so much that you would be stressed to find another institution that makes so many majors available, has one-on-one advising and a friendly, safe atmosphere in which to prosper.”
