"Hi everybody! I'm Kylie, a Political Science major. Originally from San Diego, CA, I moved to Bushkill, PA (a very rural town near the Poconos) about 11 years ago. When it came time to choose a college, I applied to about eight schools and visited all of them summer of my junior year - My poor mother and I drove all the way to North Carolina and back. After this adventure, I was even more unsure about what school I wanted to attend; most were too small, too rural, or just too plain. So I continued my search and low and behold, I found Temple University during my senior year, and learned about the amazing opportunities the Honors Program provided - the small school feel at a very large University! I knew it was exactly what i needed. Luckily, I was accepted to both Temple and the Honors Program!!!


I have had a wonderful Honors experience and have certainly made lifelong friends. With the support of these eclectic and amazing students, I am not embarrassed by my love of Chinese Opera or my affinity for the arts. I have had some very interesting classes and have been to many places within Philadelphia. With Honors, I have had the opportunity to do many things in the city (FOR FREE) and I absolutely love the advisors."

"Hello! This is Kylie Patterson keeping you updated on what's going on this summer. This past year I had an internship with the "Dan Anders for Judge" Campaign, worked for the "Knox for Philly Campaign" and currently, I am working with the AFL-CIO under their Union Summer Internship program. This newest post I have is in Brewer, MAINE! Thus far I have staged two actions: one at the US. Senator's office of Maine and another for laid- off workers. I organized a large scale benefit barbeque on July 4th and am now working on a benefit concert for over 2- 4,000 concert goers being held on Labor Day."
