Amanda NeuberAssociate DirectorAmanda Neuber attended Saint Joseph’s University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. She loved Hawk Hill so much, she stuck around an extra year and earned her Master's degree in Experimental Social Psychology. Amanda realized her passion for academics and student affairs through her undergraduate experiences in Residence Life, Greek Life, Student Government, and Service Learning. After graduation, still attached to her original aspirations, Amanda started her career as a Project Coordinator for a series of early-childhood development studies in the Clinical Psychology department here at Temple. While finishing the grant study, she realized her true calling was working with students directly - not sitting in a lab with data. Luckily, she found a home with the Honors Program, and has never been happier. Amanda was promoted from Academic Advisor to Associate Director in January 2008. She is an adjunct professor (currently teaching Honors Teens and Tweens!!), teaches an Honors Freshman Seminar and is very proud to lead the Honors Appalachian Experience. Amanda was awarded the Temple University Outstanding New Advisor Award in 2008 and won the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) award for Outstanding New Advisor in 2009. Only 8 advisors in the country were chosen to recieve this honor! Born and raised in South Jersey, she now lives in center city Philadelphia. Amanda serves as the Director of Alumni for the Pennsylvania-East chapter of HOBY (Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership), enjoys Photography, the arts, Philadelphia sports, spending time with family and friends, and will forever be a cheerleader at heart.
