Other Temple OpportunitiesTemple University has several other programs and opportunities to further your academic career. Diamond Scholars ProgramThe Diamond Research Scholars Program provides Temple undergraduates the opportunity to engage in a focused, mentored research or creative arts project during the summer and fall. The program requires that students participate in the three-day Diamond Research Program Institute and devote eight to ten weeks during the summer to develop a research project in their area of interest under the direction of their faculty mentor. All students are eligible to apply to be a Diamond Scholar. Diamond Peer TeachersThe Diamond Peer Teachers Program provides upper-level undergraduates at Temple the opportunity to experience the challenges and rewards of college-level teaching, to work with faculty mentors to develop their own pedagogical skills, and to provide supplemental instruction in lower-level courses Undergraduate Research Incentive FundThe Undergraduate Research Incentive Fund is available to any full-time undergraduate student enrolled at Temple who seeks financial support for research related activities such as undergraduate research projects or participation in professional conferences. Awards from the URIF are dependent on the availability of matching funds from the students’ own Department, School and/or College.
Temple University Undergraduate Research Forum/Creative Works SymposiumTURF-CreWS welcomes research or creative work from every discipline. All Schools, Colleges, Departments and Programs in the University are eligible to nominate undergraduate student papers, posters, performances, and other creative works. TURF-CREWS participation is on a competitive basis.
Temple Med Scholars & Law ScholarsTemple’s MedScholars and LawScholars Programs provide an opportunity for outstanding students to gain provisional admission to Temple University’s School of Medicine or Beasley School of Law at the same time they are accepted into an undergraduate program. Selection for these programs is highly competitive and is based on high school grades, standardized test scores, letters of recommendation and a personal interview. All students must be admitted to the Honors Program to be considered for these programs.
