Orientation
Information for Freshmen
All Honors students attend orientation with the rest of the incoming freshmen to Temple, but there will be certain Honors-only activities that allow you to learn about program requirements and meet Honors Program staff and students. The details for these Honors-only activities will be in a letter that you will receive from Honors approximately one week in advance of your Orientation session.
Note: You are required to attend New Student Orientation in order to register for classes. For more information and to register for orientation, please visit the Orientation Website.
Useful Information Before You Arrive for Orientation
- Before you arrive for your orientation session, we would like for you to go online and review the Honors Course Guide. This guide lists all of the Honors courses offered and provides very detailed descriptions of each course. The course guide will be updated throughout the summer. Don't get your heart set on a specific schedule just yet! Our job during orientation is to help you plan your courses while you are here talking with us one-on-one. We have lots of tips, tricks, and great information about courses and professors that are not in the course guide (only in our heads).

Information for Transfer Students
Please let us know when you will be visiting campus so we can schedule a meeting to introduce ourselves, answer any questions, and get you some Honors classes! If you are transferring from another institution, please visit the Transfer Orientation Website for more information.
At the start of the semester, we will have a general information session for all transfers to meet one another, get more acclimated with Honors, and be sure your schedule is squared away.
