The Honors Program is proud to offer housing specifically for Honors students. Located at 1300

Cecil B. Moore Avenue, "1300" (as it is affectionately known) is by far the best place to live on campus! The 3rd floor is currently home to more than 250 Honors freshmen and a technology-equipped classroom that is used just for Honors classes and Honors related programming (the only classroom of its kind in a residential setting!)  The 3rd floor also has 2 administrative offices where members of our Honors staff have set advising hours. That’s right – we even come to you!

In addition, there are over 160 Honors sophomores living in four wings on the 4th floor of 1300. These wings in 1300 have 4-person/two-bedrooms, 2-person/one-bedroom, and some 1-person studio apartments (These options are available, space permitting, for sophomores who lived on campus as freshmen).

1300 has 24-hour security, fitness center, central air-conditioning, computer lab, TV lounge, a game room, a courtyard in the front and back of the building for social gatherings, and many study and other social areas throughout the building. Internet access and cable are available in every room and there are laundry facilities on each floor.

Honors students living on the 3rd and 4th Floor of 1300 will be active participants in the Honors Program and in their Honors residential community. Students are expected to take an active interest in their academic, co-curricular, and residential lives at Temple University. This includes full participation in their classes (both Honors and non-Honors), co-curricular activities, Honors residential activities, and special events. Honors residential activities are coordinated by the Honors Resident Assistants, Honors Program Staff, and Honors residents.

Another to place to feel at HOME… is the Honors Lounge

Tucked away in Tuttleman Learning Center, one of the best parts of Honors is our lounge. It’s open to students all day and many evenings. You are bound to find students relaxing between classes, socializing with friends, debating ideas, playing chess, or feeding the honorable fish. The lounge has computers and printers for those last minute “my-dog-almost-ate-my-homework” papers and for checking email.
