"I am always amazed by the fascinating research they do—my one professor recognized the economic issues in Greece before they received widespread notice, and another one of my professors wrote a thesis on constipation and the creation of utopias! Honors professors are quirky and approachable; they’re not afraid to bring in their old report cards from elementary school or show video footage of their children."

"My favorite part of honors are the classes. In all the honors classes I have taken there is an unspoken understanding that both the professor and the students care. Not only about the course itself but also about each other. This caring translates into increased participation from students and increased expectations from the professor. The care present in honors classes really adds to my learning experience and overall Temple experience."

"Because Honors promises smaller-sized classes, it’s easier to get to know your peers. Individuals on the same educational track end up taking the same classes, so you really get to know everyone in your classes, which is incredibly useful! Without a doubt, the close group of individuals we have makes me proud to be an Honors student."

"Unlike the atmosphere in over-crowded lecture halls, professors in Honors classes can cater to students on a one-on-one basis both inside and outside of the classroom. Honors courses offer students the benefits of attending a large university while simultaneously engaging in a more focused classroom experience. This aids in making learning a more fun and effective process."

"I also appreciate the unique classes I have the opportunity to take, such as the Horror honors class this semester. Being in the honors program has given me countless opportunities to better myself as a person."

"The professors who teach in the honors program seem genuinely interested in students and focused on trying to include all students in class discussion. Getting to know the professor and other people in the class also makes it easier to participate and take intellectual risks."

"The
Honors program definitely attracted me… I really like my classes and the fact that there are so many kids in my building who are in them. If I ever need help for anything, they are two steps away."
