Doug Mazzocco (Worcester, PA)I graduated from Temple in May of 2007 with a B.S. in Sport and Recreation Management from the School of Tourism & Hospitality, and an Honors minor from the Fox School of Business. During my time in the Honors Program, I had two internships: one with Upper Dublin Parks & Recreation my junior year and another with Philadelphia 76ers marketing department during my senior year. I have many fond memories of the Honors program. It helped me find ways to incorporate my love for athletics into everything I do, which included excelling both in the classroom and on the rugby pitch. Winning back-to-back co-ed flag football championships with fellow athletic nerds was a great era in Honors history! Choosing to study abroad in Rome during the fall of 2005 was easily the best decision I made as a Temple student. I had a great opportunity to learn about myself through my interactions with others in a completely different culture, and have a blast in the process! It helped develop me on a professional level and will always be something that I look back on with a smile. - I now represent the Northeast for Canterbury of New Zealand, the world’s premier rugby brand both on and off the field. I helped design and implement the first store in the nation, located in the Philadelphia Premium Outlets, and focus on creating a unique brand image for men, women, and children. I also design custom team jerseys, hoodies, and warm-ups for rugby, field hockey, and multiple other sports up and down the East Coast. I couldn’t ask for anything more!
