My research interests are in U.S. foreign relations, transnational culture and gender history. I am the author of GIs and Germans: Culture, Gender, and Foreign Relations, 1945-1949 (Yale 2003), and articles on U.S foreign relations and the globalization of American culture. I am currently at work on a book on the global discourse on peace during the early cold war.
