Temple's Pre-Med Health Scholar Program has a linkage agreement with Temple University School of Medicine which allows students the chance to excel in the competitive, changing field of health care. The program is designed for high-achieving students who have distinguished themselves with impressive high school academic records and a demonstrated interest in the field of medicine. Applications for this program should be submitted by December of the student's senior year in high school.
The Pre-Med Health Scholars program allows consideration for provisional acceptance to Temple University School of Medicine under a 4+4 agreement. Students entering Temple University as Pre-Med Health Scholars are the only pre-med students that can be considered for the Accelerated (3+4) track that allows them to complete their undergraduate degree with the coursework required in the first year of professional school.

The Temple University 3+4 Accelerated Programs for Dentistry (BA/DMD), Pharmacy (BA/PharmD), and Podiatry (BA/DPM), as well as the 3+3 Physical Therapy (BA/DPT) Program, have linkage agreements with the corresponding Temple University professional school or graduate program. These Accelerated Health Scholar programs allow students the chance to excel in the competitive, changing field of health care. The programs are designed for high-achieving students who have distinguished themselves with impressive high school academic records and a demonstrated interest in their respective field of interest. Applications for these programs can be submitted starting in the student's senior year in high school until December, 2016 of their first semester at Temple University.
The Accelerated Health Scholar programs allow consideration for provisional acceptance to Temple University Schools of Dentistry, Pharmacy, Podiatry and Physical Therapy Program that allows them to complete their undergraduate degrees in a shorter period of time after successfully passing all courses in the first year of professional school.
Beginning with the Temple University entering class of 2017, applications to the Accelerated Programs for Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Podiatry (3+4 Tracks) as well as Physical Therapy (3+3 Track) will be available on-line and will be due before a student enters Temple University. Applicants must be accepted to Temple University prior to submission of accelerated application. Accepted students will therefore know their accelerated option status before starting at Temple University.
