Leaders Impact MSW Scholarships

The goal of this scholarship program is to positively influence the quality of management, planning, community and policy development within community organizations, nonprofits, foundations, public agencies and policy making institutions. This will be achieved by providing scholarship funds to Temple MSW student who will become future social work leaders engaged in societal transformation in partnership with communities and organizations.

The Impact Scholarship requires participants select the Management/Planning Concentration within the MSW program. This specifically designed concentration will provide the advanced education necessary for graduates to take on leading roles in the social work profession.

• Management and Planning Concentration (Available at the Harrisburg campuses): This concentration prepares students to demonstrate leadership and advocacy for social change through effectively planning, managing and directing human service organizations.

Scholarships Information

• Scholarships are for up to 34.5 credits earned during the student´s initial academic year of the MSW program.
• Applicants accepted for admission to Temple´s SSW as a full-time MSW student may be eligible to receive up to $10,000 one year Impact Scholarship. A part-time student may be eligible for a one year $5,000 scholarship.
• Scholarship recipients must select either the Management/Planning concentration.

As part of your application process you can identify your interest in this scholarship by writing an additional 1 to 2 page essay identifying your interest and motivation for the Management and Planning or Practice with Communities and Policy Arenas concentration. Specify your existing knowledge, skills and experiences that prepare you for an advanced degree in one of these two concentrations.
