Field Education Conference at Temple University Harrisburg July 9 - 11, 2009

Conference Includes:

Workshops, welcoming reception Thursday afternoon, continental breakfast Friday and Saturday, and light refreshments throughout.

Lunch on Friday is "on your own" but a boxed lunch will be offered for $8.

There are many meal options within close indoor walking distance to the campus.

Thursday July 9

  • 12 - 1:30 p.m. Registration
  • 1:30 - 4 p.m. Session 1
  • 4 - 6 p.m. Welcoming Reception

    Friday July 10

  • 8 - 9 a.m. Registration and Breakfast
  • 9 - 9:30 a.m. Welcoming Address
  • 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Morning Sessions
  • 12 - 1:30 p.m. Lunch on your own and Optional Brown Bag Session
  • 1 - 4 p.m. Afternoon Sessions
  • Evening - Optional Social Event and Banquet Celebrating 40 Years of Temple University School of Social Administration (held at the Harrisburg Hilton. More details to follow; there will be a separate fee)

    Saturday July 11

  • 8 - 9 a.m. Registration (if necessary) and Breakfast
  • 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Morning Sessions
  • 12 p.m. Conclusion and Closure

Accomodations:

The Harrisburg Hilton, at 1 North Second Street, Harrisburg, is the closest hotel to the conference and is connected by walkway to the Temple University Harrisburg Campus. Continuing Education Credits

The conference has been approved for up to 12 continuing education hours for PA Licensed Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Licensed Professional Counselors. Accredited schools of social work are pre-approved providers of continuing education by the PA State Board of SocialWorkers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors.

Temple University School of Social Administration is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Certificates of attendance will be issued by Temple University Harrisburg. For participants coming fromoutside of the state of PA, please check with your own state licensing boards regarding continuing education requirements.

Registration and Costs

  • Full 3 day conference: $195.
  • 1 day (Friday, July 10): $125.
  • Half day (Thursday, July 9 OR Saturday, July 11): $75
