Temple Harrisburg Library TUH Library

The Library at Temple University Harrisburg has a collection of books, journals, reference works, videos and curricular materials focused in the areas of Social Service, Education, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, and the Social Sciences. Temple students have immediate access to 90 current print journal titles at TUH, as well as over 500 online databases available through the Library´s website. Library staff members provide a full range of reference, instructional, and interlibrary loan services to students and faculty at all Temple University Harrisburg class sites.

Central Pennsylvania Social Work Archives

The Central Pennsylvania Social Work Archives was established in 2003 and is housed at Temple University Harrisburg. The Archives serves as a repository for organizational records, collections of personal manuscripts, and oral histories related to human services in Central Pennsylvania.
Now, in 2008, a new collection of records has been included detailing the history of Temple University Harrisburg.

Temple Harrisburg Library has added 73 issues of journals donated by the Philadelphia Office of Children & Youth Services. Several of the titles were ones that were in the collection but gaps in the collection range have been filled with these included. The titles that have had issues added are:

Two new periodicals have been added to the Temple Libraries´ collections. These titles are new to TUH Library and to all of the Temple Libraries including the online resources:
Children´s Voice – reports current program and policy developments in child welfare services. 13 issues added 1999-2002
Residential Treatment for Children & Youth – a scholarly journal that provides a forum for those interested in issues, trends, and developments in residential group care. 15 issues added 1999-2005

Social Work Book Club chat and Information Night Nov.17

Linda Grobman, editor of The New Social Worker, will be at Temple Harrisburg to conduct a Social Work Information Night and lead the second SW Book Club chat from the TUH computer lab. Sign up for the chat and join us at 8PM for the information and 9PM for the online book talk!
