American Bar Association - Commission on Law and Agingis an interdisciplinary project to ensure legal rights to elders.The site offers a variety of publications and brochures about elder law for both consumers and service providers.

American Society on Aging is a non-profit organization working to enhance knowledge and skills of people working with older people.The site offers a variety of resources and membership services to students and professionals in or entering in to fields working with older people.

The Center for Advocacy for the Rights and Interests of the Elderly (CARIE) is a non-profit organization, based in Philadelphia, dedicated to improving the well being, rights and autonomy of older persons in Philadelphia through advocacy, education, and action. Some of their programs and services include: Free phone consultations, bilingual counselors for Latino elders, court accompaniment for victims of abuse, funds to help re-secure homes, assistance resolving transportation problems, complaint resolution for nursing home residents, and protection of Medicare beneficiaries from healthcare fraud.

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is a federal agency within the Department of Health and Human Services.The site offers information on several health care programs to beneficiaries of Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP, HIPAA, and CLIA.

Eldercare Locator is a public service of the U.S. Administration on Aging. The site offers a very simple three-step process to identify community resources available to older adults, caregivers, and professionals on aging issues.

Kansas Elder Law Networkis an electronic network of elder law information. The site offers access to elder law databases and other useful resources for elder law professionals and students.

National Center on Elder Abuse serves as a national clearinghouse on elder abuse research and information.The site offers a wide-range of elder abuse information from basic facts about elder abuse to more in depth research and legal issues.

National Committee for the Prevention of Elder Abuse is an association of professionals bringing to light many issues associated with elder mistreatment.The NCPEA also is responsible for the Journal of Elder Abuse & Neglect. The website offers access to many services like a newsletter and “ask the experts” section.

National Decubitus Foundation serves to raise public awareness about decubitus ulcers. The site offers a variety of information about decubitus ulcers including a newsletter and a public message board for people to ask questions about decubitus ulcers.

National Institute on Aging focuses on elder health issues. The site offers a variety of information about health related news, research, and trainings about elder health issues.

Nursing Home Compare is a service of Medicare.gov. The site offers protective service workers information about inspection findings of all Medicare certified nursing homes.

Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence is a statewide organization advocating for victims of domestic violence. The website offers information about the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence including history of organization, projects done by the PCADV, along with many resources on domestic violence.

Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape is a non-profit organization working to eliminate sexual violence.The coalition offers information about professional trainings and services available to victims or sexual violence, as well as, information about the National Sexual Violence Resource Center.

Pennsylvania Department of Agingis Pennsylvania´s executive agency on aging.The site offers information about governmental programs and services in the state of Pennsylvania on aging.

U.S. Administration on Aging is an office of the federal government addressing elder issues. The site offers an overview of a variety of issues facing older people directed towards a variety of consumers (i.e. older adults, caregivers, professionals, students, etc.)

The Elder Abuse Forensic Center changes the way elder abuse cases are prosecuted through an unprecedented collaborative process. The Center is staffed by professionals from legal, medical, social services, and law enforcement agencies who conduct case reviews; in-home medical and mental status, and evidentiary investigation; taped victim interviews; education; consultation; and research. The collaboration brings these experts together to better understand, identify and treat elder abuse, determine more efficient ways to successfully prosecute elder abuse cases and support the prevention of elder abuse through greater awareness and education among those professionals who work with older and disabled adults.

The National Long Term Care Ombudsman Resource Center provides support, technical assistance and training to the 53 State Long Term Care Ombudsman Programs and their statewide networks of almost 600 regional (local) programs. The Center´s objectives are to enhance the skills, knowledge and management capacity of the State programs to enable them to handle residents´ complaints and represent resident interests (individual and systemic advocacy).

The National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA) is a private, non-profit organization of victim and witness assistance programs and practitioners, criminal justice agencies and professionals, mental health professionals, researchers, former victims and survivors, and others committed to the recognition and implementation of victim rights and services. Specific to Elder Abuse, NOVA developed a victim assistance resource entitled, “Adult Victims of Crime and Abuse in Residential Care Facilities” which contains information about residential care facilities, potential abusers, types of abuse and injury, and other resources.

The National Training Library for Adult Protective Services and Elder Abuse is an accumulation of training materials developed by state and local Adult Protective Services and elder abuse programs from 1990 to the present. The materials are made available nationally for loan and referral. The collection consists of PowerPoint Presentations and CDs, Paper Copies or Booklets, and Video and Audio Cassettes. The goals of the library include identifying existing training materials, providing standardized descriptions of them and making them available to trainers, as well as documenting gaps in existing training resources.
