The National Family Development Credential Program is housed at Temple University Harrisburg. Temple provides national coordination of the FDC program, maintains a national database of credentialed workers, and monitors fidelity to the FDC training model. The program is managed at a state level by a lead agency that has partnered with the national office at Temple to coordinate FDC activity within the state.
The FDC credential awarded by Temple University- Harrisburg reflects a standard of excellence recognized by major family-serving agencies and has been approved by the National Program on Non-collegiate Sponsored Instruction for National College Credit Recommendation Service [NCCRS- formerly PONSI]seven-college credit recommendation.
Students meeting certain criteria may also earn Continuing Education Units [CEUs] and/or Act 48 credits.
