The Teaching in Higher Education (THE) certificate program prepares current faculty and those who aspire to be higher education faculty to be successful and qualified educators at the post secondary level. The classes in the Teaching in Higher Education Certificate program will help those enrolled to:

• Enhance their professional development portfolios
• Improve course design
• Attempt new ideas and strategies for learning
• Develop associations with other faculty members and exchange ideas
• Renew interest and excitement in college teaching
• Learn assessment and evaluation skills
• Teach to diverse and adult learners
• Use technology to complement lessons
