Recent SSW Grad wins 3rd Prize in the PSCSW Awards for Clinical Excellence


The Pennsylvania Society of Clinical Social Work (PSCSW) is pleased to announce that Gwen Pfeifer, a recent graduate from the School of Social Work, Harrisburg, has won Third Prize in the PSCSW Awards for Clinical Excellence competition. PSCSW gives awards annually to graduating master’s level social work students who submit a case based paper for review by a panel of judges. Ms. Pfeifer’s outstanding paper was titled “Adoption Planning: Using Feminist Relational Theory to Support a Birthmother’s Process.” Her clinical practice professor was Dr. Claudia Dewane. This competitive award is highly recognized in the clinical social work profession.

Ms. Pfeifer was recognized at the PSCSW Annual Dinner held Friday, November 9th at the Germantown Cricket Club. She received $100 and membership in PSCSW.  Click here to read the paper.
